Our sell-out Original Ring Carving Workshop is back in London for Christmas!

Swap the Christmas shopping for a couple of hours of creativity and join us for a special festive ring carving workshop with The Workbench.

Guided by our ring carving experts, this 2-hour workshop is designed to make jewellery making fun, easy and accessible, no artistic experience needed.

You’ll learn the basics of the ancient lost wax casting technique, then design and carve your very own ring in jewellers wax. We’ll provide all the tools and materials you need, plus plenty of guidance along the way. Expect carving, Christmas drinks, good chats and the chance to discover a skill you never knew you had.

Once you’ve finished your design, we’ll take your wax back to our London workshop, where our jewellers will cast and polish your ring in 100% recycled silver.

FAQ’s

Do I need any jewellery-making experience?
Not at all. Our ring carving workshops are designed for complete beginners and we’ll guide you through every step.

Can I make my ring in a different metal?
Yes! Your workshop ticket includes a finished ring in 100% recycled silver, but you’ll have the option to upgrade your ring to gold or another precious metal after you’ve finished carving. You can also add gemstones and other personal touches to make your ring completely your own.

We’ll talk you through all the options on the day, so you can decide what you’d like once you’ve created your design.

What happens to my ring after the workshop?
We’ll take your wax design back to our London workshop, where it will be cast in 100% recycled sterling silver, hand-finished and polished by our jewellers.

When will I receive my finished ring?
Your finished ring will usually be returned within approximately four weeks of the workshop.

Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Our workshops are relaxed and sociable, and plenty of guests join us individually.

Is there an age requirement?
Yes. You must be 18 or over to attend this workshop.

  • All bookings are non-refundable. Once your ticket has been purchased, we’re unable to offer refunds for cancellations or non-attendance.
  • Tickets are valid only for the event, date and time stated on your booking.
  • Tickets may be transferred to another person if you’re no longer able to attend. Please contact us in advance with the new attendee’s name.
  • Please arrive on time. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before the workshop starts so we can get everyone checked in and ready to begin.
  • Unfortunately, late arrivals may not be able to join the workshop once carving has started.
  • The workshop involves the use of sharp tools and materials. By booking, you agree to follow the instructions and guidance provided by The Workbench team throughout the event.
  • The Workbench reserves the right to refuse admission or ask anyone behaving in an unsafe or disruptive manner to leave the event.
  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or significantly change the event, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date or a full refund.
