We proudly cast each piece in 100% solid recycled 925 silver and have done so ever since we launched in 2014. Using our in-house recycled bullion reduces the demand on the planet for mining these precious metals. Our silver contains no nickel.
You can further personalise your design by choosing between a shiny or matte finish, shown in the examples below.
We use a triple coating of gold to plate your designs to ensure a high-quality finish while offering an affordable alternative to solid gold. The base metal is always silver.

With gold plating you should take care to avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, perfumes, and lotions, as they can cause discolouration or thin the gold layer more quickly. Store separately in a jewellery box or pouch to prevent scratches and wear. Be mindful not to graze the ring against rough surfaces as this can scratch off the gold layer. This includes heavy lifting at the gym, cycling or gardening for example.

You can request a precious metal quote via the online portal. The quote is based on the size and thickness of your wax. We are unable to provide quotes for designs that have not been carved and sent back to us. But to give you an idea, a small 9ct white gold stacking ring in the smallest ring size starts from an additional £470 . There is no commitment to go ahead with your quote, you can choose to keep your design silver.
If making a wedding band you must match the carat of the engagement ring to avoid one ring scratching the other.
We cast in 9ct and 18ct gold which is most common in the UK, but we now also offer 14ct gold which is a favourite with our friends in America.
We proudly cast each piece in 100% solid recycled gold and have done so ever since we launched in 2014. Using our in-house recycled bullion reduces the demand on the planet for mining these precious metals. Our solid gold rings are hallmarked for authenticity.
There are 3 main differences between 9ct, 14ct & 18ct gold. These are colour, price and durability. 9ct gold contains 37.5% pure gold while 18ct has 75% pure gold content. This not only effects the price but also the colour. 9ct gold has a paler, cooler hue while 18ct gold has a much richer, deeper gold tone and 14ct gold sits in the middle. Even though 18ct has more gold, which is a softer metal, it is actually more durable in the long term, making it the most popular choice for wedding bands.
Rose gold is an alloy made from a combination of pure gold and copper, along with a few other metals, which together create its signature rosy hue. Its warm, romantic tone makes it a popular choice for those who love a softer, unique alternative to yellow or white gold. We cast in 9ct and 18ct rose gold which is most common in the UK, but we now also offer 14ct gold which is a favourite with our friends in America.
White gold is an alloy made by blending pure gold with white metals like palladium or silver, then plating it with rhodium to achieve its bright, silvery finish. It’s a timeless and versatile choice, perfect for those who love a modern or minimalist look while maintaining the luxury of gold. We cast in 9ct, 14ct, and 18ct white gold, offering a range of options to suit different styles and budgets. Its cool tone makes it an excellent pairing with diamonds and gemstones, creating a stunning contrast. If you’re after an elegant, contemporary metal that complements every design, white gold is an ideal option.
We proudly cast each piece in 100% solid recycled platinum and have done so ever since we launched in 2014. Using our in-house recycled bullion reduces the demand on the planet for mining these precious metals. Our platinum rings are hallmarked for authenticity.
Platinum requires very little maintenance, while while gold may need rhodium plating in the future to bring back its bright silver finish. Platinum is also slightly more grey/darker toned hue and a heavier metal, which makes it the more harder wearing metal of the two. Did you know Platinum is 20 times more rare than gold.
If you are using heirloom stones from an old piece of jewellery, we understand that the metal is also of sentimental value. However, we are unable to melt down these metals and use them to cast new pieces due to the complexities involved in ensuring the purity and quality of the metal. If we are removing stones from an heirloom piece of jewellery, we can return your heirloom metals to you along with your finished ring, allowing you to preserve their sentimental value.
Our shiny finish enhances every detail of your design, creating a reflective surface that catches the light beautifully. It’s particularly striking because it picks up texture so well, highlighting intricate carvings, patterns, and subtle details with stunning clarity. If its a mirror shine you are looking for, you’ll need to spend time perfecting your wax’s surface using the glossing technique. This extra care ensures a smooth finish that amplifies the shine and brings your design to life with a highly polished look.
Our matte finish offers a beautifully understated texture that softens the overall appearance of your piece, making it ideal for those who prefer a less reflective, more natural aesthetic. To achieve this look, we use a light abrasive polish after casting, creating an even, velvety surface.
The frosted finish is a stunning texture that you create yourself, adding a truly personal touch to your design. Using the rougher sandpaper included in your kit, you’ll apply a scratched texture evenly across the surface of your wax. After casting, we add a shiny finish on top, creating a beautiful contrast that gives your ring a frosted, shimmering effect.
Top tip: pay close attention to the direction you sand in to keep the texture consistent and uniform.
Whatever finish you choose, please remember that as you wear your ring, it will naturally gain patina and character from bumps, knocks, and daily life. This is simply a part of the natural wear and tear process, and adds to the uniqueness of your piece. If you’d like to restore your ring to its original shine, our ring refresh service is always available to bring it back to life.
