We accept American Express, Switch, Delta, Visa Debit and most major credit cards, Apple Pay and Paypal.

If you want to break up the cost you can also pay with Clearpay.

We work hard to process, pack and dispatch all your kit orders by hand. Orders are currently dispatched once a week as outlined in our FAQs. Any orders placed after 4pm on the specified delivery day will be sent in the following week’s dispatch.

You will receive an email once your order has been dispatched. We use a 48-hour tracked and signed for service to ensure your order makes it to you as soon as possible.

We can issue a refund providing the kit has been unopened and is still in perfect condition with all items still in the kit. We will issue a full refund minus the initial shipping cost. Refund requests must be made via email within 30 days of purchase.

We do not provide postage for returns. Any cost associated with returns postage is your responsibility. We ship everything using a 48-hour tracked and signed for service and we recommend you do the same if posting a return.

Any returned items that are lost or damaged in the post and are not trackable are your responsibility, and we are not liable for a refund.

Discounted or kits sold as part of a promotion are strictly non-refundable/exchangeable.

Once your jewellery has been delivered, it becomes your responsibility to care for and wear it as you choose. While our pieces are made with 100% recycled precious metals and finished to the highest standard, all jewellery—especially when worn every day—will naturally develop patina, small scratches, and signs of wear over time.

This kind of natural wear and tear is completely normal and adds to the story and character of your piece. However, we are not responsible for damage that occurs while the jewellery is in your care, such as knocks, deep scratches, bending, or damage caused by improper storage or wear.

That said, we’re always here to help! If your jewellery is in need of a little TLC, we offer a Ring and Pendant Refresh Service to bring back its original shine and finish. Whether you opted for a high polish, matte, or plated look, we can help restore your piece as best we can.

Kits are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Wedding band kits are only valid for 3 months.

From 10th March 2026, all kits purchased will be valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Due to ongoing and often unpredictable changes in precious metal costs, we’ve made this adjustment to ensure we can continue offering the highest quality materials at fair and accurate pricing. This timeframe allows you flexibility to complete your design, while helping us manage fluctuations responsibly and sustainably.

Kits returned after 6 months are subject to a £55 late fee. For wedding band kits, a discretionary late fee based on current metal costs will be applied to your second payment.

Please be advised that we cannot process wax from kits older than 2 years that are in our old packaging. This policy is due to fluctuations in metal prices, workshop scheduling, and structural business changes, as noted on our packaging and website.

We understand that life happens and things can get misplaced. If you have an old style kit (older than 2 years) you would like to complete, you will need to purchase a ring refill kit to receive a portal code.

This kit expiry policy is stated on the outside of the box, at the point of purchase, and on our video tutorials page.

The Workbench London abides by data protection laws regarding retention and use of personal customer information.

Information and data submitted through this website is private. We won’t share your email address or personal info with anyone apart from the courier being used to deliver your parcel. The Workbench London reserves the right to amend or withdraw the offer at any time.

Any unnamed or unclaimed waxes are stored securely for up to one year. After this period, they will be responsibly destroyed. It is the maker’s responsibility to clearly label all returned waxes with a name, email, or other identifying information. If we are unable to identify your wax, we cannot store it indefinitely, and it may be destroyed after the one-year period.
