Sophie & Lewis
Sophie and Lewis decided to carve their own wedding rings as a way to slow down and savour a moment together in the run-up to their big day. Crafted in 9ct yellow gold with a matte finish, each ring is filled with thoughtful detail. Sophie chose a bold signet shape featuring an invisible-set champagne diamond and Lewis’ fingerprint engraved into the surface—bringing both sparkle and sentiment to the design.
For them, carving at home became more than just ring making—it was a memory in itself, crafted to the soundtrack of their wedding playlist and filled with all the imperfections that make something feel truly personal. No compromises, just rings that reflect them.
What made you decide to carve your own wedding rings?
We decided to carve our own wedding rings because we thought it would be a nice activity to do together in the run up to the wedding. I have always been a creative and crafty person so I had been interested in getting a ring kit for a while so this was the perfect opportunity.
Tell us about the design of your rings?
Lewis’ ring is a larger more masculine version of my engagement ring so we have that connection between both of us. For my wedding ring I wanted to go with a different shape and style so I decided to go with a signet with Lewis’ fingerprint engraved and a diamond to add a bit of sparkle.
What does wearing a ring you’ve designed and created yourself mean to you?
I love that we have such unique rings, imperfections and all. It’s a lovely memory to reflect back on – sat in our kitchen carving away while we refined the playlist for our evening reception. It also meant we were able to have rings that were exactly what we were looking for, no compromises needed!
