Anandi and Arun
Anandi’s wedding rings are a burst of colour, creativity, and pure joy! She wanted something fun to complement her sunny yellow sapphire engagement ring—so she went all in, choosing five vibrant stones of different shapes and sizes to scatter around her band. In a last-minute twist, she even carved a second ring to create a versatile three-ring stack she can mix and match depending on the day.
What made you decide to carve your own wedding rings?
After starting my search for the right wedding band, I couldn’t find any that felt right. They either didn’t fit the energy of my engagement ring, or they simply didn’t feel like me. And so as someone who loves all things DIY, I decided I would make my own! I’d attended a Workbench workshop years ago, fell in love with everything it stood for and immediately knew where to go.

Tell us about the design of your rings?
My main goal was that I wanted something fun. My partner designed my engagement ring himself and chose a yellow sapphire as the stone – it’s already so sunny and joyful, so I thought, why not add ALL the colours to the band? After much restraint, I selected five stones of all different shapes and sizes to place around the band.
My original plan was to create a small dip at the top of the band so that my engagement ring could sit flush, but I couldn’t decide which stone I loved the most to sit directly under the stone!
In a last minute plot twist, I decided to use the extra wax in the kit to create a second wedding band, this one with the dip on one side. I now have a three-ring wedding stack that I can play around with depending on how I feel that day. Sometimes I wear all three, sometimes just one, sometimes I’m feeling the pink pear sapphire on top, other times the blue oval. It’s small but adds a little extra joy to my day.

What does wearing a ring you’ve designed and created yourself mean to you?
Oh I’m so proud of what I’ve made! I put so much care and attention into every part of this process, I just love that this whole stack is unique to me and that it’s a wonderful combo of both of our creative brains.

There’s something so special about wearing a ring that’s completely your own. With every detail shaped by hand, these rings are not just jewellery—they’re a reflection of love, personality, and the creative journey behind them. 💛💍 For wedding rings as unique as your love story – shop our wedding kit!
